Welcome to CAPS
CAPS provides free hybrid mental health counseling services to enrolled students in Washington state. CAPS can assist Seattle U students with identifying resources and services that best fit each student’s unique circumstances.
Seattle University Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) leads the campus community in supporting and promoting evidenced-based, confidential mental health care for enrolled students through individual and group counseling, urgent mental health care, referral services, and educational programming. As a student-centered office, CAPS mental health professionals ethically promote holistic student wellness by valuing relationships, diverse identities, and collaboration with students and stakeholders to empower the campus community.

Counseling Services
We offer scheduled counseling options and urgent hours services for free to enrolled students. Whether you are hoping to speak to a counselor privately, work with peers to address shared mental health concerns, or are feeling overwhelmed and need to speak with someone urgently, we can assist you.
Support Services
If you need access to off-campus mental health professional services for long-term counseling or psychiatric care we're still here to help. Schedule a time to sit down with our staff for a 1-on-1 case management assessment of your needs, or browse our referral directories to find a provider that is right for you.
