By Air
Sea-Tac Airport
Sea-Tac International Airport (SEA) serves the Seattle metropolitan area and is served by more than 30 airlines. The airport is located about 15 miles south of SU.
To get to SU from Sea-Tac airport:
- Take the Link light rail northbound to International District/Chinatown station (8 stops) and then take the Seattle Streetcar at 5th and S. Jackson, eastbound, getting off at Broadway & Marion stop for Seattle University.
- Take the Link light rail northbound to Pioneer Square station (9 stops), walk 1 block to James St & 3rd Ave and take the Metro bus, routes 3 or 4, to campus (E. Jefferson St & Broadway or E. Jefferson St & 12th St).
- Take the Link light rail northbound to Capitol Hill station (13 stops), then take the Seattle Streetcar at Broadway & Denny, westbound, getting off at the Broadway & Marion stop.
- Take a vehicle for hire (about $35-$45).
- Use a carsharing service. Sea-Tac Airport may have cars available from car2Go or Lime to rent and drive to Seattle.
Paine Field
Paine Field (PAE) is located about 25 miles north of SU and accommodates a small number of commercial flights as of March 2019.
Public transportation options from Paine Field are are limited. It may be necessary to rent a vehicle or rely on friends and family to get to Seattle.
By Train
Three Amtrak routes serve Seattle: Empire Builder, Coast Starlight and Amtrak Cascades. Trains stop at King Street Station, 303 S. Jackson Street, about 1.2 miles from campus.
To get to SU from King Street Station:
- Take the Seattle Streetcar at 5th and S. Jackson, eastbound, getting off at Broadway & Marion stop for Seattle University.
- Walk to Link light rail International District/Chinatown station (0.1 miles). Take the train to Pioneer Square station (1 stop), then from James St & 3rd Ave and take the Metro bus, routes 3 or 4, to campus (E Jefferson St & Broadway or E Jefferson St & 12th St).
- Walk to Link light rail International District/Chinatown station (0.1 miles). Take the train northbound to Capitol Hill station (4 stops), then take the Seattle Streetcar at Broadway & Denny, westbound, getting off at the Broadway & Marion stop.
- Take vehicle for hire (about $4-$9).
By Bus
Greyhound
Seattle's Greyhound bus station is at 503 S. Royal Brougham Way, about 1.5 miles from SU. To get to SU from the Seattle Greyhound bus station:
- Walk to Link light rail Stadium Station (0.2 miles). Take the train northbound to the International District/Chinatown station (1 stop), then take the Seattle Streetcar at 5th and S. Jackson, eastbound, getting off at Broadway & Marion stop for Seattle University.
- Walk to Link light rail Stadium Station (0.2 miles). Take the train to Pioneer Square station (2 stops), then from James St & 3rd Ave and take the Metro bus, routes 3 or 4, to campus (E. Jefferson St & Broadway or E. Jefferson St & 12th St).
- Walk to Link light rail Stadium Station (0.2 miles). Take the train northbound to Capitol Hill station (5 stops), then take the Seattle Streetcar at Broadway & Denny, westbound, getting off at the Broadway & Marion stop.

BoltBus
Seattle is also served by BoltBus at 5th Ave S. & S. Dearborn St, about 1.2 miles from SU. to get to SU from the BoltBus drop off:
