Prepare for a Career Related to Japanese Culture
The Japanese Program provides students with a foundation to understand the Japanese language, society, and people. It consists of two years of language courses and a one quarter culture program. The program is designed to equip students with the skills necessary to meet the social and global demands of the 21st century.

Japanese Education Abroad
Sophia University in Tokyo is one of the most prestigious universities in Japan. Seattle University has an exchange program with Sophia University. Students who study Japanese will be given priority to study abroad at Sophia. All the 3000-level Japan related course credits earned at Sophia may fulfill the minor requirement, since Sophia will be treated as your “home” institution.
