Learning Outcomes - Social Work

Seattle University undergraduate Social Work students should be able to:

  • Understand the bio-psycho-social and spiritual values that affect human development within and ecological perspective as the knowledge base for practice     
  • Apply the skills for generalist practice with client systems of various sizes.
  • Demonstrate the values and ethical standards that guide professional social work behavior

Accreditation

Seattle University's Social Work Program was re-affirmed in February 2009 by the Council on Social Work Education.

Social workers are required to follow the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. Confidentiality will be strictly maintained when writing about clients or discussing them in the classroom.
