Through creative and systematic assessment of student learning outcomes, the Core Assessment Committee provides the Core Policy Board with information and evidence to guide its decisions and oversight. The specific task assigned to the Core Assessment Committee on October 12, 2000 was “to develop ways of assessing whether students are in fact learning what the Core curriculum and co-curriculum purports to teach them.”
Serving as vital resources, the University Assessment Committee advises administration on learning outcome assessment processes and provide further recommendations on assessment implementation.
