Global Learning: International Engagement at Seattle University
Seattle is a world-class city, crossroads to the Pacific and home to diverse ethnic populations. As a Jesuit University in the heart of the city, Seattle University (SU) actively promotes international engagement. We embrace the notion that the "global is local, and local is global" and encourage students to learn from others and explore their own cultural assumptions.
Our goal is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to to become informed global citizens, communicate across differences, and engage with others to effect positive change and work towards a more just and humane world. To reach this goal, SU offers students, faculty, and staff the chance to embrace an international experience by providing opportunities for research on international issues and service both around the world and at home.
