Student Academic Specialist Appointment Sheet
This form is available for students and/or advisors to fill out prior to meeting with a student academic specialist. For Advisors, using the form is a proactive way to direct students to the Registrar’s office for help. When called for, advisors can run the form and have students complete it in their presence as they discuss what specific issues need clarification by an Academic Specialist. Drop-in information:
Drop in Hours for students is 1:30 to 4:00 (Monday - Friday)
Check-in is at the Student Financial Services window in University Services Building.
When your have questions about credit or degree requirements when advising:
Student Academic Specialists in the Registrar's Office are knowledgeable in all matters having to do with satisfying degree requirements for graduation and can insure that program (degree) evaluations and transfer credit assessments are performed in compliance with university requirements.
How Student Academic Specialists can help:
Specialists are available to assist advisers and advisees with academic planning in the following ways:
- Curriculum Policy: Specialists are fully knowledgeable and current on requirements for degree completion in all SU programs.
- Transfer Credit Articulations & Explanations: Specialists assess transcripts for incoming students to determine if course work completed at other institutions meets SU degree requirements.
- Program Evaluation Interpretation: Specialists interpret program (degree) evaluations, tracking progress toward completion of degree and program requirements.
- Graduation Applications Evaluations: Specialists review completed coursework, determine progress toward graduation, and supply information on unmet degree requirements.
