Step 3 Getting to know SU-Online
What is SU Online? SU Online is a web-based service that will enable you to take care of many of the processes involved in completing your education: performing routine functions like class searches and registration, and accessing information including your grades, class schedules, transcript and program progress.
To familiarize yourself with navigating SU Online registration features, view the "how-to" videos on the SU Online Student Menu (or use the links listed here in the right-hand column). They'll only take a few minutes of your time and they're worth it!
Two key SU Online features for planning: "Search for Classes" and "Your Program Evaluation"
The "Search for Classes" function: Find out about the courses being offered for the coming quarter including when they are offered, who is teaching them, if they are Core classes, and if there are requirements to be met before you can take them. Class offerings for the coming quarter will be available for you to review online for Winter Quarter by the end of the day October 26th.
- To get there: go directly to the SU Online home page and select "Search for Classes"
Your Program Evaluation: A Program Evaluation is a computer-generated, unofficial report which matches the courses that you have taken with the requirements of your major so you and your advisor can see what coursework you have satisfied and what courses you need to take to complete your degree . You can also select a “What if” program on your Program Evaluation window to see what requirements you have completed and what courses you would need to complete for other majors you may be interested in. This is an essential tool for academic planning and course selection!
- To get there: log to SU Online; on the Student menu under the category "Academic Profile", select "Program Evaluation"
