Program Admission

Individuals may apply for the major of diagnostic ultrasound as freshmen or transfer students from other colleges. Transfer applicants and change of major students will be considered according to admission requirements of the College of Science and Engineering and the department of diagnostic ultrasound. Some supplementary materials are required with transfer student applications. Applicants are encouraged to participate in volunteer or paid health care related activities that promote the development of communication and interpersonal skills and provide an opportunity to evaluate their own suitability to work with patients and the public. All majors are required to meet with program faculty prior to progressing to the third year.


Application Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Ultrasound


*Completed transfer applications for the junior class of Fall 2009, MUST be received/postmarked by midnight on January 5, 2009

All material must be received/postmarked by midnight JANUARY 5, 2009 and must include the following:

  • Seattle University Undergraduate Common or Universal Application
  • Diagnostic Ultrasound Supplemental Application
    • Two Letters of Recommendations from faculty members and/or employers/ Can also be used for the Commons application
    • A Diagnostic Ultrasound Personal Essay/ Can also be used for the Commons or Universal application
    • Official Transcripts
    • Application Fee of $50.00
  • Please be sure to update your application if you are still in the process of finishing prerequisites, a note to the Registrar that the class is completed and documentation of your final grade
  • Applications that are not complete, will not be forwarded to the Diagnostic Ultrasound faculty for review
