Go the Distance
This summer, two ME students are studying abroad at Kogakuin University in Tokyo, Japan. ME students are also doing undergraduate research at NSF REU sites in Virginia Tech, Washington State University, and abroad in Germany. Besides companies like Boeing and Kenworth, our students enjoy diverse internship opportunities from wind-energy consulting in Seattle, WA (Global Energy Concepts), to designing toys in Los Angeles, CA (Mattel), to "imagineering" in Orlando, FL (Walt Disney).
NSF-GRF Three Years in a Row
We congratulate Erika Tyler on her 2008 National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship (NSF-GRF). This is the 3rd consecutive NSF-GRF our students have won, along with Dan Strickland 2006 and John Ulmen 2007 (and proud we are of all of them). We are pleased that Seattle University mechanical engineering students are being recognized by this highly competitive award.
