Student Health Insurance

Seattle University strongly encourages all students to have health insurance. Beginning the 2022-23 academic year, a school-sponsored health insurance plan will no longer be available to domestic students and undergraduate students are not required to provide proof of insurance coverage. You can find more information about plans in Washington state at Washington Health Insurance | Wellness and Health Promotion | Seattle University.

International students are required to have health insurance and will automatically be enrolled in a school-sponsored student health insurance plan unless they provide evidence of comparable annual health insurance coverage. The full premium cost for the academic year can be found on the Costs page. International students should contact the International Student Center for information regarding the requirement.
