Professional Development Programs
The goal of the Professional Development Programs is to help students decide what active steps they can take to move forward in their career, while in school and after graduation. There is information on networking, informational interviewing and resources. Alumni guests talk about where they are now, how they got there and give advice to current students.
The Career Development Center offers Professional Development programs every winter quarter. These programs are tailored to different majors. Topics covered include:
- Networking
- Resumes
- cover letters
- the job hunt process
- information about the variety of careers
- time to speak with alumni from your major
Every quarter, the Career Development Center holds Professional Development Programs for the following majors:
- Communication Department
- Psychology
- History, International Studies, Public Affairs, and Political Science
- English
- Social Work
- Theology and Religious Studies
- Mathematics
- Diagnostic Ultrasound
- Chemistry and Biology
- Environmental Studies
