Alma Villareal-Elizondo (she/her/hers), who prefers to be called by her middle name Isabella, identifies as a Mexican and White, Catholic woman. She is a dual citizen of the United States and Mexico. She is fluent in Spanish and English. Isabella has demonstrated a high academic ceiling in Archbishop Murphy's rigorous AP curriculum. She will have completed four AP courses upon graduation. Isabella wrote an excellent essay about the tension between her family's fear that she would lose her Spanish if she didn't use it regularly at home; ultimately culminating in drawing strength from her ability to live proudly in both her Spanish and English speaking communities. Her leadership and involvement highlights include: Junior Health Scholar at Swedish, Nonprofit Leadership in an organization called stepitup.org and founder of the Latino Student Union at Archbishop Murphy. Her post education ambition is to become a doctor.
