Mai-Khue graduated from Cleveland High School in Seattle, WA. She was the Vice President of the Vietnamese Cultural Club, parliamentarian for the school’s National Honor Society, and an active member of Key Club. She was the third place finisher in the BioExpo project competition sponsored by the Northwest Association for Biomedical Research for her research presentation on leukemia. Mai-Khue played on the varsity tennis team and served as a volunteer junior tennis coach for Asa Mercer Middle School and for the US Tennis Association’s QuickStart summer tennis program for children.
