Rukhsar graduated from Notre Dame High School in San Jose, CA. She completed a summer teaching internship in a Pakistani orphanage where she taught English to girls ages 14-17. She attended the Islamic School of Stanford and was a member of the Girl Scouts where she achieved her Bronze Award. She received recognition for her outstanding performance in Dance and in Speech. She is dedicated to women’s issues and is the cofounder and secretary of Girl Up, a club dedicated to exploring the portrayal of women in the media and advocating for women’s rights.
