Kavya Shanmuganathan – Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon, CA

Kavya worked as a youth advocate in Youth Court and was a 4-year general member and state qualifier for DECA. She volunteered with the Bay Area Crisis Nursery (BACN). She created Art for a Cause to raise money for BACN by selling children’s artwork. Kavya trained in classical Indian dance for many years and served as a Teaching Assistant at her dance academy. She was an AP Scholar and received a National Merit Letter of Commendation.
