Carolyn graduated from Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, WA. During her junior year, she cofounded Foster Bikes, a non-profit organization that refurbishes used bikes for foster and low income children. For three years, she served as a student athletic trainer for her high school’s Athletic Training Room and worked at Forest Park Animal Farm. She was active in Link Crew, DECA, National Honors Society, Washington State University’s Beach Naturalist program, United Way of Snohomish County and swim team and was the lead dancer for her school’s winterguard team. In her free time, she enjoyed refereeing soccer and horseback riding.

SU Experience

Carolyn is working towards a double degree in Sports and Exercise Science and Psychology and hopes to later receive a Masters in Physical Therapy with a specialization in Horseback Riding to accomplish her dream of becoming a therapeutic horseback riding instructor. She was elected president of Foster Bikes in August of 2014 and continues to lead the program. At Seattle University, she works in the Athletic Training Room and sits on the board of the Sports and Exercise Science club, which provides a support network for SPEX students. The Sullivan Leadership Program has given Carolyn an excellent support system of motivated students who challenge her to expand her interests and global views.
