Academics

THEORY ISN’T SO THEORETICAL HERE

Rigorous. Engaging. Globally minded. Our students leave prepared to tackle any challenge because our education is based in more than theory. It’s based in real-life application so students are ready for whatever the future holds.

Jesuit Education

Educating mind, body and spirit is not multiple choice

The Jesuit tradition of forward thinking has led innovations in education. We knew the importance of educating the whole student before “holistic” was a buzzword. It’s how we’ve gotten to where we are and how we’ll get you to where you’re going.

Rankings and Recognition

Moving this world forward

Awards and high rankings for academic rigor, sustainability, community service and social justice are among Seattle University’s touchstones of excellence. One of them is a Presidential Award from the White House for community service, a recognition received by only five universities.

Undergraduate Academics

From Questions to statements

Our undergraduate curriculum not only provokes students’ presuppositions, it expands their global perspective and opens them up to new ways of thinking. It is an educational environment that breeds transformation.

Graduate Academics

Rigor can be Flexible

Practical meets progress at Seattle U, with 31 graduate degree programs, including joint degree and three doctoral programs, as well as 27 certificate programs in eight schools and colleges. Classes are flexible enough for students to earn their degree and continue working, but challenging enough to push them to enhance their careers and achieve their personal goals.
