Migration Justice Immersion - Tijuana
About this Program
Economic imperialism and other factors have driven migration to the borderlands. The challenges faced by migrating and local families in finding stable and dignified housing in Tijuana are being addressed by Fundación Esperanza de Mexico [https://esperanzaint.org/], a Mexican non-governmental organization (NGO) that focuses on building mutual trust and empowerment among its participants. This variable credit course immerses you in the complexities of community development in the borderlands, with a focus on empowering community members for lasting social change. Most of the program fee is a donation to support the organization’s work.
