About this Program

This certificate allows you to gain an in-depth appreciation of the global economy and its impact on business. By building expertise in economics, finance, marketing, management, strategy, law and ethics, you’ll be prepared to take a leadership role in government, business or international organizations.

Learning Outcomes

Once you complete this program, you’ll be able to:

  • Articulate the differences between national cultures that affect business operations in specific countries
  • Identify, measure, interpret, and incorporate relevant information to analyze problems and make effective business decisions in an international context
  • Write an international business report analyzing a problem and making recommendations, while creating a formal presentation for the International Business faculty

Before Applying You’ll Need:

  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
  • Competency in statistics
  • (Optional) Official scores from the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Records Examination (GRE)
  • Two or more years of professional experience

Certificate Requirements

This certificate requires 15 credit hours of graduate courses.

  • GBUS 5310: Global Management
  • GBUS 5315; Global Strategy

Pick three courses from the following options:

  • BETH 5100: International Ethical and Cultural Issue
  • BLAW 5310: International Law and Business
  • ECON 5315: International Trade and Policy
  • FINC 5305: Finance for International Business
  • GBUS 5300: Competing With and Within China
  • MKTG 5315: Topics in International Marketing
