Pre-licensure Coursework for Advanced Practice Nursing Immersion to DNP Students

Learn more about the courses you will take in your first 5 quarters of the Advanced Practice Nursing Immersion (APNI) to DNP program.

During the first 5 quarters of study APNI to DNP students focus primarily on pre-licensure coursework and preparation for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) to become a licensed Registered Nurse (RN). After successful completion of pre-licensure coursework and passing the NCLEX, you will continue your doctoral coursework and follow the program of study for your selected area of interest.

Students choose from among four nurse practitioner areas of study when applying to the program.

Pre-licensure Coursework for APNI to DNP Students

The pre-licensure coursework for APNI to DNP students lasts 5 quarters and provides 600 clinical hours of experience. 

Program of study shown is based on 2024-2025 AY. Programs of study and course sequencing may change periodically due to state and national certification changes. All courses begin
with prefix NURS.
