Departmental Advising Resources
Education Abroad provides resources on academic advising, but it is the responsibility of Seattle University students to schedule meetings with their academic advisors to discuss their personalized academic degree plans. During these advising sessions, students should address optimal timing for going abroad and identify courses that could be taken while abroad and rearrange existing plans for Seattle University requirements. It is important to note that academic planning for education abroad can sometimes involve uncertainty due to varying course offerings during the term abroad.

Terms and Conditions
The Education Abroad Office (EAO) Course Approval Platform and the historically approved courses list provide a reference for courses previously approved for SU-Sponsored and SU-Exchange programs. Please note the following:
1. This database represents a sample of coursework offered and is not a comprehensive list of all available courses for each program. Some programs and courses may not be listed due to recent addition to our SU-Sponsored list or a lack of recent SU student participation.
2. EAO cannot guarantee that the courses listed are currently available in each program for each term.
3. Students should consult with their Academic Advisors before committing to an education abroad program, as not all programs may offer the courses needed to stay on track for graduation.
4. Courses were approved based on individual students' specific degree requirements, so course equivalencies may vary depending on individual needs.
5. Non-SU programs will be evaluated on the same platform but will not appear in the general search; they will be visible only on the individual student's dashboard.
6. All students must submit courses for pre-approval through the Course Approval Platform before departing. Credits will transfer and appear on the Program Evaluation only after successful completion of the courses and evaluation by the Registrar’s Office.
