College of Arts and Sciences Hosts Debate on Ballot Initiative with Implications for Washington's Environment

Hosted by the Department of Public Affairs and Nonprofit Leadership, Seattle University's Conversations series began the year with a forum-style debate between former State Senator Reuven Carlyle, author of Washington’s landmark Climate Commitment Act (CCA), and Brian Heywood, principal sponsor of Initiative 2117, which appeared on the November ballot and would repeal the CCA.

Professional-in-residence Joni Balter and SU student Sophia Hampton moderated the debate.
