Beta Alpha Psi hosts annual Meet the Firms event

The 2024 BAP Meet the Firms event was a remarkable success, setting a new record as the largest in this BAP chapter’s history yet.

The student organization hosted 56 professionals from 16 firms, along with over 100 registered students, plus additional walk-up attendees who joined on the day. This year, BAP invited students from neighboring schools. It was exciting to see participants from UW Bothell, UW Tacoma, North Seattle College and Seattle Central College, creating a dynamic and diverse networking environment.

Throughout the event, students connected with industry professionals, gaining valuable insights into potential career paths and building relationships that will support their professional growth. Firms provided glowing feedback on the professionalism, preparedness and enthusiasm displayed by Albers students. 

Mira Chang ('25 MSAA), BAP VP of Professionalism, coordinated the event on behalf of BAP and the Accounting Department under the supervision of Department Chair and BAP Faculty Advisor Gabriel Saucedo. Net proceeds (table sponsorships) from Meet the Firms go directly to support the chapter’s professional formation activities, including weekly professional meeting and both regional and national conference attendance.

This year's participating firms were Andersen, Armanino, BDO, Brighton Jones, CLA, Clark Nuber, Costco, Deloitte, EY, Finney, Neill & Company, P.S., Grant Thornton, Hagen, Kurth, Perman CPAs, Hutchinson and Walter PLLC, KPMG, Miller Kaplan and Sweeney Conrad.
