Add a minor in global business to prepare for careers with firms engaged in global business. You will learn the role national culture plays in shaping organizational practices and how to perceive the problems and opportunities of operating in a global environment.

You must complete 30 credits, including Global Management, electives and a supplemental activity, such as an internship or a summer field study.

Undergraduate Business Foundation

Global Business (GBUS)

  • Identify key management challenges presented by globalization and describe techniques for addressing them.
  • Integrate management, marketing, finance, and other functional areas in international business.

Living Our Mission on Campus and Beyond

MotMot Coffee is an award-winning student-created social enterprise that is run from the campus of Seattle University. MotMot is ethically sourced Nicaraguan coffee. Students hired to the project gain unparalleled experience in global business and ethical company management. MotMot takes a student's skills out of the classroom and into the real world by providing experiential learning in developing countries, all the while encouraging other Seattle University students to become ethical consumers. MotMot took second place in the Harriet Stephenson Business Plan Competition in 2017 and was a semi-finalist in the Social Venture Partners 2017 competition. In 2018, MotMot Coffee was awarded the ASIANetwork’s Freeman Foundation Student-Faculty Fellowship.
