About this Course

The purpose of this course is to expose you to basic concepts in behavioral, nutritional, and physical health and wellness in modern society. The motivating question behind this course is: How do improvements in all dimensions of wellness make a person healthy and whole? You will learn about credible assessment tools and recognized intervention strategies for improving multiple dimensions of health and wellness, and the interrelatedness of each dimension for overall well-being. This course will provide you with a foundational platform for practicing lifelong fitness and wellness in your own personal life, and for encouraging others to do the same. Permission of department for non-majors.
