About this Course

This course is designed to establish a contextual and foundational understanding of culturally and linguistically responsive teaching (CLRT). Many education researchers speak of the necessity to know your students so you can meet their diverse learning needs. Among other researchers, Zaretta Hammond says that, the quality of the relationships between teacher and students are just as important as the technical strategies used to get students to perform at higher levels. This course will focus on how to develop and model meaningful and intentional relationships.
