About this Course

This course provides an introduction to the terminology, identification, and issues commonly encountered when addressing the needs of diverse students with disabilities, with an emphasis on inclusion, professional practice and foundations in special education. The course addresses developing culturally proficient inclusive schools. Elementary teacher candidates register for Section 1 and secondary teacher candidates register for Section 2. Sections may be combined.
