About this Course

This course examines foundational theories of learning, emphasizing sociocultural theories, and their connections to classroom practice and elements of lesson planning. Emphasis is on critical analysis of the theories using an anti-racist lens. A key feature of this course will be field work where teacher candidates bring these theories together with anti-racist practice. Elementary teacher candidates register for Section 1 and secondary teacher candidates register for Section 2. Sections may be combined.
