BUSN-620 : Sustainability Risk Management

This course is part of the Online Master of Legal Studies in Compliance and Risk Management. Online MLS courses are not open to Juris Doctor students. Explore risk management frameworks and principles through the lens of sustainability in order to address domestic and global resource-productivity challenges in terms of human rights, climate, energy sources, supply chains, transportation, food, land, water, health, safety, basic materials, and government regulations. Examine the methods used by companies to tackle mounting environmental, social, governance (ESG) and sustainability-related risks affecting corporate performance. Learn how to proactively respond to market-wide sustainability risks by capitalizing on resilience opportunities with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that protect people and planet and mutual prosperity. Develop risk mitigation strategies by evaluating durability, green business-building, net zero decarbonization, technology investments, and the circular economy.
