About this Course

This course engages students in a practice-based format to model and participate in cohort community development and sustaining strategies that can be used in their teaching practice. Students will develop an understanding of the potential harm that can be caused by practices that dehumanize students, the importance of developing a caring learning environment and the tenants of the restorative discipline. Elementary teacher candidates register for Section 1 and secondary teacher candidates register for Section 2. Sections may be combined.
