Kristin Urban

I am an Academic Advisor in the College of Arts and Sciences, serving students in Public Affairs, International Studies, Performing Arts and Arts Leadership, Anthropology and Sociology, in addition to Psychology and Criminal Justice. I received my BA at a tiny liberal arts college in Florida and later went on to join AmeriCorps as a literacy tutor, shortly after graduating. For many years after graduating, I had many hats in the writing industry - staff writer, copyeditor, content editor, and ghost writer. I eventually found my way to Higher Ed by working as a professional Learning Assistant in the Writing Center of a community college - which led me Seattle University's Office of Registrar as an Academic Specialist. I am excited to be part of the College of Arts and Sciences as an Academic Advisor! Beyond work, I am probably reading or writing or hiking with my dog, Emma.
