Visiting Assistant Professor of Lawyering Skills, School of Law
Biography
Paula Enguídanos is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Lawyering Skills. She has held this position since 2019. Upon graduation from Seattle University School of Law in 2003, Professor Enguídanos clerked for the Honorable Mary Kay Becker (retired) at Division I of the Washington State Court of Appeals. Following her clerkship, Professor Enguídanos went directly into private practice, forming a small firm with three of her law school classmates. In her private practice, Professor Enguídanos focused mainly on the area of asylum law and has been representing asylum clients before the Seattle Immigration Court and the San Francisco Asylum Office for over a decade. In addition to her current teaching duties, Professor Enguídanos still volunteers her time at various immigration clinics, continuing her focus on immigration law and the issues that face the newest members of our community.
In her downtime, you can find Paula learning new hobbies such as woodworking, beekeeping, and making stained glass windows. She particularly enjoys exploring new restaurants with her husband of 29 years and their two adult children.
