Biography

My job in one sentence:

I work with a team to tell the story of Seattle U’s impact, leadership and reach to external audiences including media, the community, alumni and local, state and national leaders.

Seattle University alum:

Received a Master of Public Administration in 2007

Previous experience:

Prior to coming to SU, I led communications for Governor Jay Inslee, worked in executive and internal communications at PATH, and communications and outreach for the Washington State Budget & Policy Center. Early in my career, I worked in higher education at South Seattle Community College and the University of Washington. I have additional experience both working and volunteering in public affairs and politics.

Most Seattle things about me:

I want the Sonics to come back, I can’t drive in the snow, and I mention, whenever possible, that I am 4th generation Washingtonian

Least Seattle things about me:

I don’t drink coffee, I use an umbrella, I am comfortable when the outside temperature exceeds 80 degrees.

I know a lot about:

Presidential history, old movies, the music of Prince

I’m learning more about:

Boating, gardening and being an empty nester
