Survey Says!

In just minutes, 2023 grads can help SU serve future classes with vital information about their plans post-graduation.

As this year’s crop of Seattle University graduates prepare for their next step—internships, jobs, graduate school, military or volunteer service—a few minutes of their time to complete the First Destination Survey about their post-graduation plans will help university leaders better serve future students.

“It really will strengthen the value of their degrees,” says Carol Lwali, director of the Seattle University Career Engagement Office, which administers the survey.

An email explaining the survey was sent to the SU email accounts of nearly 1,300 undergraduate and graduate students set to graduate this academic year.

The survey should take about five minutes to complete and those who do the survey before July 5 will be entered to win one of ten $50 gift cards to the Campus Bookstore or Amazon. (The final deadline to complete the survey is the end of 2023, giving students who count themselves as "still seeking" their next step after graduation time to participate.)

The online survey hosted on the platform Embark will provide the university with valuable insights that will give prospective students and families information about employment rates, average starting salaries for graduates, industry employers recruiting SU students and graduate programs.

The Career Engagement Office is dedicating June 26–June 30 to the Class of 2023. Did you know that the office provides support to new graduates for up to one year?
