Roundglass India Center

RGIC Goals

Seattle University's Roundglass India Center is an interdisciplinary center focused on the study of contemporary India and Indian Americans. Founded in 2023, the Center's key goals are to:

  • Educate: As a university center, we are uniquely positioned to offer evidence-based knowledge and critical discourse that educates our community. We use our platform to host high-caliber speakers on key topics of interest to Indian Americans to promote positive change.

  • Connect: We create opportunities for cross-cultural learning and exchange to promote international cooperation between India and the United States in areas such as education, health, and industry. Our programs develop culturally competent students and leaders from both nations.

  • Give Back: As a non-profit organization, we are committed to the values of justice and serving others, especially in India and the U.S. Our philanthropic programs, such as scholarships to Indian students and Access to Justice project in Punjab, aim to uplift both India and the United States.

The Roundglass India Center is an interdisciplinary center focused on the study of contemporary India and Indian Americans. Founding Director Sital Kalantry, an expert on comparative law and human rights, has studied and written about two of the world’s largest democracies—India and the United States—for over 20 years.

The Center was created by a generous gift from the Roundglass Foundation, founded by Sunny "Gurpreet" Singh, the founder of Edifecs & Roundglass, and a philanthropist whose work is transforming the lives of millions of people in India.
