Scholar Success Initiative

The Scholar Success Initiative at Seattle University is dedicated to fostering community, scholarship retention, and overall academic success of students within the university’s signature scholarship cohort communities. The initiative works closely with students, providing success coaching, coordinating shared programming, and building strategic partnerships to help students thrive during and beyond their time at Seattle University.

Alfie Scholars Program: The Alfie Scholars Program provides programming and financial scholarships to underrepresented transfer students who are committed to civility leadership and social justice. Campus Contact: Carol Cochran, Director, ccochran@seattleu.edu

Costco Scholarship: The Costco Scholarship at Seattle University provides financial scholarships, career programming, and professional networking opportunities for high-achieving, high need students from historically underrepresented communities. Fostering Scholars: The Fostering Scholars Program provides a comprehensive program of support and generous financial scholarships to eligible students with lived experience in foster care. Passport to Careers Scholarship: The Washington State Passport to Careers Scholarship provides scholarships and support services to eligible students who have experienced foster care and/or homelessness without a guardian (unaccompanied homelessness). Rainier Scholars Scholarship: In partnership with Rainier Scholars, the Rainier Scholars Scholarship at Seattle University provides financial scholarships and college success counseling for underrepresented students of color.
