Spanish Language & Culture

About this Program

This program accommodates students at all levels of Spanish proficiency. Beginning level courses focus solely on language acquisition while intermediate, advanced, and superior level courses expand on Spanish culture, in addition to grammar. Students are in class with international students. Students have the option of incorporating an Intensive Month program for an additional cost. Please refer to the Intensive Month page for more information.

  • Fall Quarter: late September to mid-December
  • Winter Quarter: early January to mid-March
  • Spring Quarter: late March to mid-June

Application Steps

  1. Complete Module I of Global Engagement with Education Abroad Canvas course, including Education Abroad 101 and attending a Planning Meeting with your Education Advisor.
  2. Complete the SU-Sponsored/SU-Exchange Program Application in Module II of the Canvas course by February 1 for selected program.

  • Credit System: Contact Hours
  • Credit Conversion Rate: 10 Contact Hours = 1 SU Quarter Credit
  • Quarter Range: 20-25
  • Credit Per Course: 50 or 100
