Curriculum Notes

  • No more than 15 credits from this major may count toward any minor.
  • 10 credits of Modern Themes of Asian Studies electives in Area II, options include: AIST 3250/ANTH 3320, AIST/PLSC 4650, ECON 3750, PSYC 4830, and select special topics approved by the department.
  • 30 credits of department-approved electives in Area III from at least three disciplines, including AIST 4900 and approved courses such as AIST 4800, ANTH 3510, ENGL 3720, HIST 3810, PHIL 3410, PLSC 3340, THRS 3313, and select special topics. A maximum of 10 credits may be chosen from select major electives including courses in CISS, ECON, PHIL, and PLSC.
  • Cross-listed courses with University Core may not double-count with Core requirements.
