Our Jesuit values mean we’ve designed a campus with an environmental justice mindset. Sustainability is core to who we are and we are incredibly committed to taking action on every level.

We have the first-in-the-nation university gardens that are pesticide free, designed by celebrity master gardener Ciscoe Morris.

Seattle University was the first university in the Pacific Northwest to earn the title of Fair Trade Designated University.

Our urban campus is in the heart of tech-heavy Seattle, located near the eclectic Capitol Hill and First Hill neighborhoods near downtown Seattle. Our central location means there are lots of ways to get to campus, from biking to the Seattle Streetcar.

Just east and south of our campus are some of the most culturally and ethnically diverse neighborhoods on the west coast. The Central District, Little Ethiopia, Little Saigon and the International District are all within walking distance and offer you a taste of home or different cultures on nearly every corner.
