Sonia Edwige Tchamba Leckeu, a senior in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Seattle University, is focused on supporting families of drug-exposed newborns. Her Ridgway project will provide education and emotional support to families affected by Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.

Ridgway Scholar Spotlight: Liyat Shenkute, ‘26
Liyat Shenkute, a junior in the BSN program at Seattle University, is passionate about both nursing and community advocacy. Through her Ridgway project, Liyat is repurposing outdoor gear to provide shelter for houseless individuals in the Seattle area.

Congratulations to the 2024 Lois Price Spratlen Scholars
Congratulations to Kayla Clark, ’27, Katharine Mecklenburg Wright, ’25, and Kimberly Ha, ‘25, on being awarded Lois Price Spratlen Foundation Scholarships. Three of the six scholarships awarded this year went to Seattle University students. This scholarship program supports graduate students pursuing careers in advanced practice psychiatric nursing.
